What happens at check-out?

Photo + tap. Deposit refunds. Rental complete.

When you bring the item back, you and the owner both:

1. Upload a check-out photo to document the return condition. 2. Tap "Confirm check-out."

Whoever confirms second triggers the deposit refund (back to your card, usually within 3-5 business days). The owner's payout drops into their Stripe Connect balance at the same time.

If the owner doesn't confirm within 48 hours of you confirming AND no dispute is open, our system auto-completes the rental for you. You don't get stuck waiting for an unresponsive owner.

If something's wrong with the item — damage that wasn't there before, missing parts — file a dispute from the rental page before completing check-out. The deposit is held until the dispute resolves.
