What happens at check-in?

Both parties take a photo and tap a button. The rental clock starts.

When you meet the owner to pick up the item, both of you do two things:

1. Upload a quick photo of the item — front-and-center, so its current condition is documented. 2. Tap "Confirm check-in" on your end of the rental page.

Whichever party taps "confirm" second triggers the payment capture. Until then, your card is just authorized — not charged.

You can do this from your dashboard, or scan the QR code on the rental page (the owner can show their phone to you, you scan it, you land on your check-in screen). The same link works for both parties.

If you're running late, the owner can wait — there's a 3-day pickup window. After that, the rental auto-cancels and your card is released.
