How do I book an item?

Open the listing, pick your start and end dates on the calendar, and click "Request to rent." We'll take you to Stripe Checkout to authorize the rental fee plus the security deposit (if there is one).

Important: we authorize the payment but don't charge it until check-in is confirmed. If the owner declines or doesn't respond before the check-in deadline, the authorization is voided and you're not charged.

Once payment is authorized, the owner gets a notification and has until the start date to approve. If they approve, the booking is confirmed and you'll get a notification with a check-in link. If they decline, you get a refund right away.
