How do I cancel a rental?
Free cancellation before check-in. Once you've picked up the item, you can't.
If the rental is still pending or hasn't been checked in, you can cancel from your dashboard. Click the rental, hit "Cancel," and your authorization is voided (no charge ever lands).
If the owner has already approved but you haven't met up yet, the same rule applies — your card hasn't been charged yet.
Once you've physically picked up the item (check-in is confirmed), you can't self-cancel. If something goes wrong at that point, file a dispute and we'll work it out with you and the owner.
