How does the friends system work?

You can add anyone on RentNeighbors as a friend. Once both sides accept, you'll see each other's listings highlighted in search and you can use the "Friends only" filter to browse only listings from your network.

Friend requests are bidirectional — sending a request creates a pending row that the other person accepts or declines. Pending requests show up in your /friends page.

After a rental completes, both parties get a soft prompt to add each other as friends. It's optional — most rentals don't end in a friendship — but it's a nice way to build a small trusted network for repeat rentals.
