How does content moderation work?
AI screens listings for prohibited items before they go live.
Every listing is screened by an AI moderation pass before going live. We check:
- Prohibited items. Weapons, drugs, alcohol (in jurisdictions that restrict it), hazardous materials, anything illegal in the listing's location.
- Misleading descriptions. Photos that don't match the title, "rare" items that are clearly not, prices designed to bait.
- Off-platform CTAs. "Text me at 555-..." in the description gets flagged.
If a listing is rejected, we'll tell you why and let you fix and resubmit. False positives happen — if you think we got it wrong, email support@rentneighbors.com with the listing details.
