How do I delete my account?
Email us. We delete personal data; financial records are kept for legal reasons.
To delete your account, email support@rentneighbors.com from the email on the account with "Delete my account" in the subject. We process deletions within 5 business days.
What gets deleted: your profile, name, email, phone, password, avatar, listings, messages, friend connections, notifications.
What we keep: rental and purchase history (transaction records — required for tax and dispute audits), reviews you've left or received (anonymized), and any data we're legally required to retain (financial records, dispute outcomes).
If you have an active rental in progress, you'll need to complete or cancel it before we can delete the account. If you have a Stripe Connect balance, withdraw it first — we can't refund it after deletion.
